After the presentation of data and its analysis, the following question will be answered in the present paper: based on national and international models and particularities of the Iranian legal system, what methods and institutions can be more effective for the special protection of Iranian citizens’ fundamental rights? The findings of this study suggest that the creation of a special court - called Citizens Rights Court- with the purpose of completing article 25 of the Iranian Penal Procedure Code or the broadening of the Guardian Council’s competence in terms of subsequent supervision, may be ways to improve the Iranian legal system in the terms of protecting fundamental rights of citizens.
