The role of this committee, like judicial officials in the general sense, is not limited to the collection of "court facts" and is also directed to the examination of "reconciliation facts" and "narrative facts". Therefore, the focus on the mentioned fields shows the role of this institution in creating global peace and security. Despite this, if the goal of the fact-finding committee is to resolve disputes and prevent them from starting again, it is necessary to pay attention to other aspects of the facts related to violence and crimes in addition to the "pathological truth". In this study, the authors have analyzed the issue by looking at the role and work of the fact-finding committee with special reference to human rights issues. Attention has also been paid to the potential capacities of this committee and the limitations and obstacles to their effective performance in establishing peace and international criminal justice. کمیتۀ حقیقت‌یاب، به‌عنوان یکی از نهادهای واجد مأموریت‌ سازمان ملل متحد در سال‌های اخیر، نقشی حیاتی در آشکار ساختن واقعیت‌های مرتبط با خشونت‌ها، جنایات سیاسی و نظامی داشته است. نقش این کمیته‌ همچون ضابطان قضایی در معنای عام، تنها به جمع‌آوری «حقایق محکمه‌ای» منحصر نبوده و علاوه بر آن به بررسی «حقایق مصالحه‌ای» و «حقایق روایتی» نیز معطوف بوده است. ازاین‌رو تمرکز در زمینه‌های ذکرشده، بیانگر نقش این نهاد در ایجاد صلح و امنیت جهانی است. با وجود این، اگر هدف کمیتۀ‌ حقیقت‌یاب حل‌وفصل پایدار اختلافات و جلوگیری از شروع مجدد آن‌ها باشد، لازم است علاوه بر «حقیقت آسیب‌شناختی» به وجوه دیگری از حقایق مربوط به خشونت‌ها و جنایات نیز توجه کند. نگارندگان در این پژوهش با هدف تشریح نقش و کارویژه‌های کمیتۀ‌ حقیقت‌یاب و با ارجاع ویژه به مسائل حقوق بشر به تحلیل موضوع پرداخته‌اند. همچنین به ظرفیت‌های بالقوۀ این کمیته‌ و محدودیت‌ها و موانع عملکرد مؤثر آن‌ها در راستای استقرار صلح و عدالت کیفری بین‌المللی نیز توجه شده است.  https://jplsq.ut.ac.ir/article_105927_b3166537d205da6f81fe8c686e3971e7.pdf
