One of the characteristics of CLS, which to some extent was created as a result of the development of legal realism in the USA, is to open legal jurisprudence to other disciplines and to reject the thought that CLS is merely a philosophical discussion of the concept of law. CLS, firstly, throws a shadow of doubt on the attitude of the mainstream legal scholarship premised upon the belief that law is perfect, autonomous, and logical. In ultimately rejecting this belief, CLS shows that the so-called triumphs of the conventional legal mainstream are ambiguous. By acknowledging the risk of scepticism and by advancing its ideals according to this, CLS has provided conditions, and therefore means, for the social world to continuously reconsider itself. ناکامی جریان اصلی دانشوری حقوق در پایان خوش‌بینی عصر ویکتوریا و آغاز جنگ جهانی اول، بنیادهای تاریخی مطالعات حقوقی انتقادی را بنیان نهاد. یکی از مشخصات مطالعات حقوقی انتقادی که تا اندازه‌ای نتیجۀ توسعۀ واقع‌گروی حقوقی در ایالات متحدۀ آمریکاست، گشودن حکمت حقوق بر سایر رشته‌ها و رد این اندیشه است که حکمت حقوق صرفاً بحث فلسفی مفهوم حقوق است. مطالعات حقوقی انتقادی، رویکرد جریان اصلی بر بنیاد اعتقاد به کمال، خودسامانی و منطقی بودن حقوق را مورد تردید قرار می‌دهد و در نهایت رد می‌کند و نشان می‌دهد که پیروزی‌های جریان سنتی حقوق پیروزی‌های مبهم‌اند. مطالعات حقوقی انتقادی، با پذیرش خطر شک‌ورزی و پیش بردن آرمان‌هایش از طریق شک‌ورزی، شرایطی را برای جهان اجتماعی فراهم ساخته است که جهان اجتماعی، ابزار بازنگری مداوم خویش را همواره در دسترس داشته باشد. https://jplsq.ut.ac.ir/article_59477_df06c0160d10b41cf9c053c5e0a09bbc.pdf
