Abstract

With the expansion and development of international law and consequently human rights law, the world system is gradually transforming from a state-centered system into an individual-centered one. Therefore, the necessity of presenting views which are focused on the sovereignty of the people is becoming more apparent. Recognition of states is one of the issues the world is facing today. The keyword of people's sovereignty is a neglected subject. After thoroughly examining the two basic theories of proclamation and creation, this study will present their respective advantages and disadvantages, along with an extended concept of sovereignty. A rational solution to the age-old problem of state recognition will also be presented in accordance with international law based on justice.
