The Public Law Studies Quarterly (PLSQ) is the specialized academic journal of the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Tehran. Previously, 25 issues of PLSQ were published under the title "Law Quarterly" from the spring of 2007 to the spring of 2014. Prior to that, 74 issues were published over a period of 36 years, from 1960 to 2006, under the title "Journal of the Faculty of Law and Political Science" containing papers both in the fields of law and political-science papers. Given the increasing specialization of topics in various fields of law, the Faculty of Law and Political Science took steps to publish specialized and independent journals in various fields of law. Consequently, under the license issued by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the former "Law Quarterly" has been published since 2014 in the form of an independent quarterly journals, namely Private Law Studies, Criminal Law and Criminology Studies, and Public Law Studies. The PLSQ has been accredited as an academic journal since the winter of 2014, pursuant to the letter No. 020202/53/8 dated Febuary 8, 2015 of the Publications Review Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Based on the latest evaluation of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, this journal has received the rank of "A" in 2023. The PLSQ receives manuscripts for review from authors in the fields of public law, international law and human rights law. The PLSQ charges its authors a fee for reviewing and publishing their paper. In accordance with article 6(2) of the Decree-Law on Academic Journals issued by the Publications Commission on 2019, after the acceptance of the manuscript, the term “research article” is included on the first page of each paper
