Abstract
Nowadays It is common and obvious to consider responsibility against the public officials and prosecute them due to authorities and jurisdictions which they possess which is applicable according to its various aims and effects in different ways by the relevant institutions. Political prosecution and hearing is considered as a special and also effective mechanism and sanction to prosecute officials and exercise responsibility against them which is used along with the other mechanism such as warning, questioning, interpellation, government censuring and judicial and administrative proceeding. In this research, by a descriptive_ analytic approach, the nature. History and function of political judgment as a monitoring mechanism against some high officials in the presidential system and the president in the republic parliamentary system has been deliberated and compared with other supervisory mechanism has been described. Political judgment is a process of investigation and hearing about some crimes and infractions committed by some high officials which will be done by a political unit and results in a political verdict.
